Cenna

Privacy Policy

Effective 16 September 2026

Cenna is a meal-planning app for iPhone. This policy says what Cenna collects, why, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. The short version: your recipes are yours, nothing is sold, and you can delete everything from inside the app.

What Cenna collects

Account
Your email address, or the identifier Apple gives us when you sign in with Apple (Apple may hide your real email). We use it to sign you in and to keep your data with your account.
What you save in the app
Recipes you import (title, ingredients, steps, a photo), your week plans, your grocery lists, your preferences (diets, dislikes, servings, a daily calorie or protein goal), and recipe ratings. This is the product; it is stored so it is there on your next launch and on your other devices.
Photos you send for a scan or an import
A photo of a recipe card, a fridge, a pantry or a receipt is sent to our server and on to OpenAI to read it. The photo is not stored by Cenna afterwards. A recipe photo that came from a web page or a post is copied to our storage so it keeps loading.
Links you import
The web page or post address, so the same post is not imported twice and so you can find where a recipe came from. When a post's caption has no recipe, the video's audio is transcribed by OpenAI to read the recipe from what is said.
Purchases
Whether you have Cenna Plus, which product, and when it renews or ends. Payment itself is handled by Apple; Cenna never sees your card. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat on our behalf.
Usage
Which features are used and how often (for example "a week was drafted"), without any recipe, list or health content. Used only to see what works.

What Cenna does not collect

No contacts, no location, no health data from Apple Health, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across other apps or websites. There are no ads.

Who processes data for Cenna

Cenna does not sell personal data and does not share it with anyone else.

Your choices

Retention

Your data stays as long as your account does. Usage records are purged after 90 days and import logs after 30. Photos sent for a scan are gone as soon as the scan is done.

Children

Cenna is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
